Xpeng AeroHT Secures $250 Million in Series B Funding for Flying Car Development
Xpeng AeroHT's total financing is approximately $750 million (about 53.75 billion yuan).

Xpeng AeroHT, a leading flying car company within the Xpeng automotive ecosystem, has officially announced the completion of a $250 million Series B financing round on July 15. The funds will be used to ensure the research and development, mass production, and commercialisation of the company's flying car technology.
The company positions itself as a "global leader in low-altitude product creation" with a mission to "make flying more accessible." Through innovation and application of core self-developed technologies, Xpeng AeroHT aims to create safe, intelligent flying vehicles and other low-altitude mobility products for users, gradually addressing personal flight, aerial commuting, and public service needs.

This latest funding brings Xpeng AeroHT's total financing to approximately $750 million (about 53.75 billion yuan). In August 2024, the company announced a $150 million Series B1 round backed by three state-owned investment groups from Guangzhou. Previously, in October 2021, Xpeng AeroHT completed a Series A round exceeding $500 million, led by IDG Capital, 5Y Capital, and Xpeng Motors.
Beyond equity financing, Xpeng AeroHT has secured significant credit facilities. In November 2022, four major Chinese banks provided a combined credit line of 60 billion yuan. More recently, in April 2025, the company obtained a 12.6 billion yuan syndicated loan from five banks to support the construction of its flying car manufacturing base—reportedly the largest such loan globally for flying car production.

According to company disclosures, production of its "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying car is accelerating. The world's first flying car mass production facility has completed its main structure and is undergoing equipment debugging. The factory is scheduled for completion in Q4 2025, with the Land Aircraft Carrier planned for mass production and delivery in 2026.
The Land Aircraft Carrier, officially unveiled in September 2024, is positioned to become the world's first mass-produced modular flying car available to individual consumers, with pricing announced at under 2 million yuan ($280,000). The vehicle features a flight module that can accommodate two passengers, offers a 270° panoramic intelligent cabin, and employs vertical takeoff and landing capabilities with an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform.

Xpeng AeroHT has already secured impressive pre-orders, including 2,358 units from B2B customers, with total reported orders potentially exceeding 5,000 units—representing potential revenue of 10 billion yuan if all materialize.
In recent corporate developments, Xpeng AeroHT announced in June 2025 that Du Chao has joined as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, bringing nearly 20 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience. Market sources suggest that with Du's appointment, the company has officially added "IPO" to its agenda.
