GAC GOVY AirCab Prototype Delivered in Hong Kong, Accelerating Bay Area Air Mobility

GOVY, a subsidiary of GAC Group, has successfully delivered the first prototype of its independently developed GOVY AirCab multi-rotor flying car in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The first GOVY AirCab prototype was showcased at the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). GOVY's products include the GOVY AirCab, designed for urban short-distance travel, and the GOVY AirJet, for intercity rapid commuting.

The delivered multi-rotor GOVY AirCab model boasts a range of 20 to 30 kilometres, making it suitable for urban or short-distance low-altitude travel scenarios such as city tours and short business trips. The aircraft's body is composed of over 90% carbon fibre composite materials, reducing its weight while enhancing strength and durability, thereby improving flight efficiency.
Notably, GOVY's other composite-wing flying car, the GOVY AirJet, recently completed its maiden flight. This model features a maximum flight speed of 250 kph and a range of 200 kilometres, making it suitable for rapid intercity transit. It is projected to reduce ground commuting times, which typically take 1 to 2 hours, to under 40 minutes, effectively contributing to the realisation of a "40-minute Greater Bay Area living circle."

The GOVY Aircab has now entered the airworthiness certification phase, with plans for certification and mass production delivery in the second half of 2026. The year 2027 is anticipated to be the inaugural year for low-altitude manned flights.
